School Evacuation

It has been a day of excitement at Alma Park, and one which has confirmed just how marvelous our children, families and staff are. Earlier this afternoon we called the Fire Brigade out to investigate an unusual smell. As we didn't want our gorgeous children out in the rain for longer than necessary, we took refuge at St. Mary's school next door. The firemen were later able to inform us that the smell was possibly from the local drains and they have flushed out the system and confirmed that the building is safe. So we are looking forward to business as usual tomorrow. In the meanwhile we would like to thank our friends at St. Mary's School for making us so welcome and for helping us make sure all our children were safe and happy. We know our children will have reported on the day’s excitement – it really was bringing learning to life for our Reception children who are studying ‘People who help us’!
