4 - a - Day
In order for our children to develop a secure and fluent understanding of a range of methods they can use to solve number problems, we provide each class with regular opportunities to practice these skills.
4-a-day is the name for the daily activity that we use to practice our arithmetic strategies in the four number skills of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
This practice begins in Year 1 and continues up to year 6. The children can pick from a progressive choice of number calculations linked to the end of year expectations for their year group.
