Working with children at home

23/03/20

Dear Year 4 families

You have now had a few days of schooling at home and I hope you are finding the resources we provided helpful.

We chose fun, practical activities similar to the Brainbuilder challenges that would be easier to complete at home.  There are lots of fabulous resources online and live broadcasts for families to access. Some of our favourites include:

  • PE with Jo Wicks on YouTube live at 9am each day
  • Visit Scouts.org.uk and look at their The Great Indoors challenges for 100+ fun activities you can do easily at home
  • Search Facebook for Oti Mabuse Kids DANCE Classes where the Strictly star provides live dance lessons at 11.30 am (7.30pm for adults)
  • Free audio stories released every day for the next month by the nations favourite children’s author David Walliams at https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/

We have also attached some tasks to keep you busy one of which can be printed out if you have access to a printer at home. If not, just use the ideas and copy and complete on paper at home.

Hope you are all staying at home and keeping safe.

Attached are more activities for you to do together including English, Maths, Science and PSHE.

Don’t worry if you have not finished work from the first sheet we sent home, we don’t want you getting bored!

All the year 4 team are well and remember we can be e-mailed during school hours 9am till 3.30pm if you have any queries about tasks set. Year 4 email address is year4@almapark.manchester.sch.uk

Take care,
